What is Sunday School?
Our Christian Science Sunday School offers students from the ages of 3 to 19 a spiritual education as a basis for living.
The students learn from an early age how to pray and turn to God for all their needs.
Sunday School is held every Sunday from 10:30-11:30 a.m.
First Lessons - Primary Classes (Ages 3-8 / Grades PK-4)
- 10 Commandment and Beatitudes
- Lord’s Prayer and its Spiritual Interpretation by Mary Baker Eddy
- Sermon on the Mount
- Knowing God and their relationship with God
- Bible stories
- Learning to pray for themselves
Secondary Lessons - Juvenile Classes (Ages 9-14 / Grades 5-9)
- Deeper meaning of Bible stories and how to apply that understanding to everyday challenges
- Mrs. Eddy’s life and healing mission
- Lively discussions that promote healing and elevate thought to turning to God for their every need
Senior Classes (Ages 15-19 / Grades 10-College)
- Deeper discussion of applying spiritual light to health, sports, relationships, career decisions.
- Lifting prayer for themselves, others, and also including the world
- Questions and answers based upon the weekly Bible Lesson
- Preparation for transition to attending church and their role in church
